<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the generation of offensive odor due to the adsorption of aldehyde groups, ammonium groups, lower fatty acids, hydrocarbons, etc. to a filter for adsorbing ozone and toner clouds contained in exhaust air, and capable of preventing the life of the filter from being shortened. <P>SOLUTION: Discharged products such as ozone generated from a charger 16 and NOx or the like or toner clouds generated from a developing unit are collected by a filter in an exhaust route 150. Simultaneously, smell components such as aldehyde groups, ammonium groups, lower fatty acids, and hydrocarbons are also adsorbed. By driving a heater 100, stack of the odor components on the ozone filter can be prevented.
