<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by reducing any wasteful setting input operation when a user selects a user interface in which items whose setting is indispensable become unsettable. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes a plurality of user interfaces for operating the same application. When a user selects the user interface in which items indispensable for his desired functions become unsettable, a warning message for notifying the user that it is impossible to switch it to an alternative means is displayed. When it is possible to switch it to the alternative means, a confirmation message is output, and it is switched to the alternative means in response to a confirmation reply from the user.
