<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an igniter and a gas generator which are improved in the sealing property between a squib and a holder as well as reduction in the number of part items. <P>SOLUTION: This gas generator comprises a cup case 3 filled with a gas generating agent which generates gas by combustion, a holder 4 holding the cup case 3 by caulking it at a protruding part 4a, and the igniter 5 integrated with the holder 4 and disposed inside the cup case 3. The igniter 5 includes a pair of electrode pins 6 and 7, a thermosetting resin part 8 integrated with the holder 4 with the electrode pins 6 and 7 extended therethrough, a bridge line 9 electrically connecting the electrode pins 6 and 7 with each other, and an ignition ball 10 formed so that the bridge line 9 covers the upper part of the electrode pins 6 and 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
