<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard device for a building capable of preventing or delaying an intruder, flame, smoke or the like from going to upper floors by closing the downward opening of stairs leading to the upper floors from the lower floors, when abnormalities occur at the lower floors. <P>SOLUTION: The guard device for a building comprises an abnormality detection sensor (a burglarproof sensor 4) detecting the abnormalities on the lower floors, an opening/closing lid 6 capable of opening and closing the downward opening 5a of the stairs 5 leading to the upper floors from the lower floors, and a drive motor 11 driven to close the downward opening 5a of the opening/closing lid 6 when the abnormality detection sensor 4 detects the abnormalities. Thus, the downward opening 5a is automatically closed by the opening/closing lid 6 even if a resident sleeps in a room upper floor, preventing an intruder, flame, smoke or the like from going to upper floors through the downward opening 5a to secure the safety of the resident. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
