COATING SUBSTRATE FORMING METHOD AND STRIPPING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method of a nickel base heat-resistant alloy substrate having a coating such as an MCrAlY coating, and a method for removing the coating from this substrate. SOLUTION: This stripping method is provided for removing the MCrAlY coating of a turbine engine part composed of the nickel base heat-resistant alloy substrate. The MCrAlY coating is removed from the substrate by soaking the substrate in an acid aqueous solution including a mixture of a sulfuric acid and a hydrochloric acid of a predetermined quantity. The coating is effectively removed by this method without receiving the chemical action such as pitting corrosion to an alloy part including an aluminum concentrated eutectic phase of the high volume ratio in stripping.
