PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor wherein torque can be increased. SOLUTION: The stepping motor 1 is constructed in consideration of the special shape of yokes 8, 9. To enlarge the magnetic paths in inner yokes 20, 50, the motor is constructed as follows. A first magnetic path reinforcing plate 61 formed of magnetic material is disposed between the first yoke 8 and the second yoke 9. The first magnetic path reinforcing plate 61 is abutted against the first and second yoke portions 23, 24 of the first inner yoke 20, and the first and second yoke portions 53, 54 of the second inner yoke 50. In this case, especially, the area of contact between the second yoke portions 24, 54 and the first magnetic path reinforcing plate 61 increases. Therefore, the torque of the stepping motor having a special yoke shape can be increased. Since the plate thickness and the material of the first magnetic path reinforcing plate 61 can be easily changed in consideration of the magnetic force of a magnet and the material of the yokes, design change is facilitated. Adoption of the first magnetic path reinforcing plate becomes more useful as the size of the stepping motor is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
