PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a falling accident caused by the sliding and shaking of each of a ladder, a stepladder or the like, to solve mental uneasiness by stabilizing feet when using the ladder, a stepladder or the like and to stabilize a work environment. SOLUTION: A place where the ladder, the stepladder or the like is used is not always a flat place at all times. Consequently, when a stay formed by connecting bars formed at two stages having lengths and thicknesses corresponding to heights of the ladder, the stepladder or the like and capable of adjusting their expansions and contractions doubly in an insertion type in the bar at a first stage and a bolt type in the bar at a second stage by 180°universal joints to supports rotatably at 360°are fitted to both right and left of the ladder, the stepladder or the like, the ladder, the stepladder or the like are more surely supported in all directions and the ladder, the stepladder or the like can be stabilized at all times. When the stay is manufactured to have strength corresponding to the weight of a substance to be supported and a spring is assembled between a lower section at the first stage and an expansion bolt at the second stage and an inserting metal fitting is detached, the stay capable of being used even to a buffer when precise mechanical equipment, an art object or the like are carried is obtained.
