PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method of attaching a cylindrical inner surface of a sensing coil onto a cylindrical outer surface of a support structure, while minimizing a stress of the coil from an environmental factor, and a sensing coil assembly. SOLUTION: This method has a process (110) for applying an adhesive formed preliminarily on a mating surface of the mounting structure, and a process (12) for coupling the inner surface of the sensing coil onto the mating surface of the mounting structure via the preliminarily formed adhesive. The mating surface is substantially cylindrical or conical. The sensing coil assembly has a hub (22) provided with the mating surface, an optical fiber coil (14) having an inner surface surrounding at least one part of the mating surface, and an adhesive pattern (10) formed preliminarily to adhere the mating surface to the inner surface.
