PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin molded product not changed in its decorative pattern or the color thereof, prevented from the lowering of surface gloss and not causing a crack or a rupture in its decorative pattern film. SOLUTION: The resin molded product is an article molded from a plastic material by an injection molding method or a blow molding method and a decorative sheet having an exposed pattern or the pattern coating color or plating like decoration looked under a transparent protective layer is integrally molded on the surface of the article. The decorative sheet is molded from the preparatory sheet preliminarily arranged in a mold by film insert molding at the time of molding of the article. Next, the preparatory sheet is arranged in the mold in a state that projection area smaller than that of the decorative sheet is applied to be held by applying wrinkles, pleats, folds, etc. or pushing and contracting a frame for holding the outer periphery of a film.
