The tennis racquet includes two or more sets of strings which are fitted to the racquet head at a distance from each other with the optimum distance between separate sets of strings amounting to 8 - 14 mm. The object of this invention is to reduce the tension required for the strings to about half the normal tension thus making it possible to reduce the cross section of individual strings, providing greater elasticity. This helps to avoid injuries such as tennis elbow and at the same time providing a greater degree of accuracy for the strokes made by the player because the ball remains in contact with the racquet for a longer period.
