METHOD FOR SETTING DEVICE CONNECTION ON WIRELESS PERSONAL AREA NETWORKS

A method for setting connections among devices located over a WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network) is provided to minimize power of devices consumed during a discovery time as well as the discovery time by scanning other device via a Zigbee channel. A method for setting connections among devices located over a WPAN comprises the following several steps. In case that one device attempts to make Bluetooth connection to other device which is located on the same network, the device wakes up a Zigbee channel(311). The device scans other plural connectable devices via the Zigbee channel which is waken up(312). In case that other plural devices are scanned, the device acquires Bluetooth connection information of the scanned devices included in a super frame which is transmitted or received via the Zigbee channel(313). In case that the Bluetooth connection information is acquired, the device shuts down the Zigbee channel and performs a Bluetooth paging to the scanned devices via a Bluetooth channel(314).
