<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the attaching/detaching work of equipment equipped therein can be facilitated without restricting its installation place, and the installation space for various equipment can be secured without upsizing the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus provided with at least a toner container and a transfer belt on which an image is transferred, the extension surface of the transfer belt 4 is in a horizontal direction, and the upper surface of a paper feed unit 7 positioned under the extension surface is made parallel to the extension surface, then, a large space such as a rectangular parallelepiped space S1 surrounded by the both and a vertical conveying path is formed, and the toner container 20 and the transfer belt 4 arranged in the space S1 are freely attachable/detachable to/from the apparatus main body, and also, the attaching/detaching direction of the toner container 20 is the same as the attaching/detaching direction of the transfer belt 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
