PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device and a color image forming method for enabling color reproduction about the other image forming device in pseudo simulation.

SOLUTION: A first known color value is generated from a target image forming device. When a printed manuscript is read by an image reading unit 11, a second color value is acquired, and a parameter for transforming the first color value to the second color value is sought and set in a pre-stage color transformation unit 32. When the color reproduction of the target image forming device is simulated, a color value (first color value) of the print data given from the outside is transformed to the second color value in the pre-stage color transformation unit 32. After that, color transformation equivalent to a copy color transformation unit 21 of a copy image processing unit 12 is performed in an aft-stage color transformation unit 33, and an image is formed at an image output unit 14. In the formed image; the color reproduction equivalent to the target image forming device is can be performed, and the color reproduction can be simulated.
