<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a whole manuscript on one sheet of recording paper without waste printing even when mismatching between the sizes occurs. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus has a printing control section 9 that checks whether or not a manuscript size of image data is matched with a size of recording paper in a paper supply cassette selected beforehand, and performs the printing by contracting or expanding the manuscript size according to the size of the recording paper when it is judged that the sizes are not matched with each other.
