PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change to be laid on side and to keep lying on side without feeling compressed feeling and cramped feeling. SOLUTION: A mattress for lying on side facilitates change to lying on the left or right side by recessed parts 17, 18 on both sides of a longitudinal body part 15, the shoulder and buttock parts when lying on the side are supported without giving compressed feeling by the recessed parts 17, 18, 20 and core materials 21 to 23 for the recessed parts provided in the recesses, the back part of a human body is supported from behind (in a horizontal direction) by the longitudinal body part 15, and the lying on one's posture can be continuously kept by supporting the trunk part of the human body from below by a width directional body part 16.
