PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone system for accommodating a plurality of extensions such as key telephone devices and public branch exchanges, and capable of responding to an incoming call from a particular number preferentially, while capable of responding to other incoming calls during the termination of the incoming call from the particular number. SOLUTION: A key telephone main system accommodates one or more external lines and a plurality of extensions, and comprises a central control unit 11. The central control unit 11 includes a particular number analysis processing means F33 for analyzing a calling party number during call termination and a call termination state display processing means F34. When an incoming call from a particular number is terminated, the call termination state of the incoming call from the particular number is displayed by the call termination state display processing means F34. While being able to answer to the priority incoming call, the press-down of an external line key provided at the key telephone brings a shift to an incoming call state, in response to the pressed-down key by the call termination state display means F34.
