PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for a fixative such as asphalt pitch or wax that is used in a process for polishing an optical part and for a resinous protective film. SOLUTION: The detergent composition of the present invention contains (A) a 6-14Cα-olefin and (B) a glycol ether with an SP value ranging from 9 to 14 and a viscosity (25°C) of 10 mPa s or less. The contents of the component (A) and the component (B) in the entire detergent composition are desirably 30 to 80% by weight and 20 to 70% by weight, respectively.
