PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe composition ameliorating or improving vascular endothelial functions or carrying out prophylaxis of deterioration of the vascular endothelial functions. SOLUTION: A food or a pharmaceutical composition comprises at least one selected from acetic acid, acetate ions and an acetate as an active ingredient. The food or pharmaceutical composition is used for ameliorating or improving the vascular endothelial functions or carrying out the prophylaxis of deterioration of the vascular endothelial functions by oral ingestion.
