PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass composition which can be substituted for the conventional cover glass and exhibits high transmissivity to the ultraviolet light having 250-260 nm wavelength. SOLUTION: The glass composition contains 60-79 mass% SiO<SB>2</SB>, Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>of >0 mass% and≤10 mass%, 0-10 mass% Li<SB>2</SB>O, 5-25 mass% Na<SB>2</SB>O, 0-15 mass% K<SB>2</SB>O, 0-10 mass% MgO, 0-15 mass% CaO, 0-15 mass% SrO, 0-15 mass% BaO, 0.5-20 mass ppm T-Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>(on condition that T-Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>is the content of all iron compounds in terms of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>), and 0-200 mass ppm TiO<SB>2</SB>as basic composition.
