SEPARATOR FOR POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell having hardly flooding (clogging with water) and superior in strength and corrosion resistance, and capable of reducing manufacturing cost, and its manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: The separator for polymer electrolyte fuel cell has a resin layer formed by electrodeposition so as to cover a metal substrate having grooves on at least one side and this resin layer is made to contain a conductive material and develop water repellency. The manufacturing method of this separator comprises a process of forming grooves at least on one side of the metal substrate and a process of forming a resin layer with water repellency so as to cover the metal substrate by electrodeposition using an electrodeposition liquid in which a conductive material is dispersed in a resin having at least one kind of elements and functional groups for developing water repellency in a structure.
