<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition accelerating an OPG production, derived not only from osteoblasts but also from intestinal tract-derived cells, and containing an edible and safe food component as an active ingredient. <P>SOLUTION: This osteoprotegerin (OPG) production-accelerating composition containing quercetin or its derivative as an active ingredient, or the OPG production-accelerating composition containing any of at least one selected from a group consisting of onion, spinach, collard and parsley is provided.
