<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and devices for detecting the presence of an analyte of interest. <P>SOLUTION: A biosensor device includes a reaction chamber and an electrochemical detection chamber. The reaction chamber includes at least one immobilized binding site and a probe conjugate, adjusted to bind to at least one of the target analytes and the immobilized binding site. The detection chamber includes electrodes for detecting electrochemical reactions. If the target analyte is present, the target analyte in a fluid sample results in a change, in the amount of probe conjugate bound in the reaction chamber, which can be detected electrochemically in the detection chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
