<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device for an opening/closing body which almost eliminates a risk of a collision against an obstacle. <P>SOLUTION: An obstacle sensor 100 receives reflective waves of ultrasonic waves incident on the obstacle present on the rear of a vehicle. Then a CPU 304 of an ECU 300 obtains a location of the obstacle based on outputs from the obstacle sensor 100 and an angle output device 208, and obtains a current location of the obstacle sensor 100 and a current location of the door edge of a back door. When the CPU 304 determines that the obstacle is present inside or on the circumference of a semi-circle on the rear of the vehicle which is formed by setting the present location of the obstacle sensor 100 and the location of the door edge of the back door as both edges of its diameter, the CPU 304 transmits a back door closing signal to a motor driver 204 which then receives the signal, and controls a driving motor 202 and an arm 206, to thereby close the back door. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
