PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring a degree of vascular stiffness without depending on a blood pressure value in principle.
SOLUTION: A differentiation wave form is formed by computing a first differentiation value by performing temporal differentiation on pulse wave components of a cuff pressure. The differentiation wave form from almost the peak point of the differentiation wave form to a point where the value of the differentiation wave form becomes almost 0 is subjected to integration to obtain a changed portion dP1 of the cuff pressure by a first pulse wave. Next, the device for measuring a degree of vascular stiffness obtains a changed portion dP2 of the cuff pressure by a second pulse wave and sequentially obtains up to the changed portion dPn of the cuff pressure by the nth pulse wave. Then, the device converts the changed portions dP1-dPn to volumetric changes of the blood vessels based on the Boyle-Charle's law, and computes a ratio of two predetermined compliances after obtaining each compliance.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
|
