<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden on a system manager in restoration operation. <P>SOLUTION: This computer system has at least one storage device, at least one host computer, and a management computer. The storage device has a first processor, a first memory, and a disk drive. The host computer has a second processor, and a second memory. The management computer has a third processor, and a third memory. The second processor executes a plurality of applications. The first processor and the second processor each create a checkpoint for keeping consistency of data in each application in prescribed timing.
