PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and so forth which can stably print an image of a high picture quality. SOLUTION: When ink amount data is formed from image data, the medium position information of a printing medium (the information indicating where the printing medium on which an image is going to be printed is positioned within a range of an unevenness in the coloring degree of an ink generated resulting from the difference of a manufacturing lot of the printing medium) is acquired, and the ink amount data is formed while reflecting the medium position information. Then, whether ink dots are formed or not is judged from the ink amount data, and the image is printed by forming the ink dots conforming to the obtained judgement result. Thus, since the image can be printed by correcting a difference between the manufacturing lots of the printing medium, the effects by the difference of the manufacturing lot of the printing medium is eliminated, and the printing of the image always with a stable picture quality becomes possible.
