PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an odor suppressing control method for an air conditioner carrying out suppression control of a phenomenon wherein odor is blown out from an indoor unit and it is spread in a room, for about sixty seconds from operation start of a compressor of an outdoor unit, in regard to the air conditioner comprised by providing the outdoor unit having an outdoor unit controller, and the indoor unit having an indoor unit controller. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is composed such that control is carried out wherein the outdoor controller starts the compressor after passage of a certain time from turning-on of an operation switch, and the indoor controller stops rotation with respect to an indoor fan in a process from starting distribution of a refrigerant in an indoor heat exchanger to bedewing of the indoor heat exchanger, and the air conditioner carries out continuous rotation after carrying out intermittent operation of alternating intermittent rotation and intermittent stoppage such that small amounts of blowing and its diffusion are carried out after the indoor heat exchanger is bedewed.
