PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic electroluminescent element having a long life and a high luminous efficiency and an aromatic amine derivative actualizing the same. SOLUTION: The aromatic amine derivative is represented by general formula (I) (X is a 10-50C condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon group; A<SB>1</SB>-A<SB>4</SB>are each a 5-50C aryl group, a 1-50C alkyl group or the like; R<SB>1</SB>is a substituted or nonsubstituted 3-20C silyl group; R<SB>2</SB>is H or a 1-50C alkyl group, a 5-50C aryl group or the like; a is 0-3; b is 1-4; c is an integer of 0-4) bonded to a silyl group-containing condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon group. The organic electroluminescent element has at least one layer of an organic thin film layer, containing the aromatic amine derivative as a single component or a component of a mixture.
