PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet-supporting body which is capable of supporting an optical sheet, which is used for displays, without using a resin plate, further which is thin, light-weighted, and excellent in compactness and impact resistance, while being produced at lower cost. SOLUTION: The supporting body comprises a fabric which has a total light transmittance of not less than 25% and not more than 90%, and which supports the optical sheet to be installed on the display.
