PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwriting learning assisting program capable of knowing a wrong answer in early timing. SOLUTION: A game machine 10 includes a CPU core 42. The CPU core 42 outputs a problem whose correct answer is previously known from a speaker 22a etc., and receives a handwritten character input operation relating to the problem in stroke units through a touch panel 20. Every time the operation is received, recognition processing is performed and it is decided whether a result of the recognition processing which is completed matches a correct answer character; when it is decided that they do not match each other, it is further decided whether the number of strokes of the received handwritten character input operation exceeds the maximum number of strokes of the correct answer character.
