PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner which has sufficient transparency and saturation and high color reproducibility in spite of an extremely small amount of a dye contained therein, and has excellent heat resistance and high offset resistance, and further has excellent light resistance and storage stability of an image, and is therefore capable of maintaining image characteristics for a long period, and an image forming method. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner is composed of toner particles prepared by dispersing a medium resin for colored particulates of the kind different from that of a binder resin for forming the toner particles and colored particulates containing the dye having a metal component into the binder resin for forming the toner particles, in which the content ratio of the metal by the dye having the metal component constituting the colored particulates is 500 to 2,000 ppm by mass in the toner particles.
