PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified toilet and a thermal insulation member for a toilet used for the simplified toilet by which excreta can be safely and easily treated in a condition without discharging malodor. SOLUTION: The simplified toilet 1 has a first container 2 with an opening hole through which excreta and an excreta treating agent 30 are thrown in and an agitating container 10 which is rotatably installed on the first container 2 being separated from the inner wall of the first container 2, can store the excreta and the excreta treating agent 30, and is equipped with agitating blades 16 to agitate the stored excreta and excreta treating agent.
