An apparatus for supporting an upper structure of a bridge is provided to perform a jacking work for an upper structure easily and shortly with low manpower. The apparatus(100) for supporting an upper structure of a bridge comprises a support(110) installed to the side of a pier(12) and composed of a fixed portion(120) placed vertically, reinforced by brackets(132) and provided with plural holes and a support portion(130) placed horizontally to support the load of an upper structure(14), a fixture(140) composed of a wedge member, a bolt(144) and a nut(146) to fix the fixed unit to the side of the pier, plural spiral members(150) inserted to holes(134) of the support unit to be movable vertically and provided with a spiral(152) on the outer circumferential surface to regulate the height, and supporting the load of the upper structure using the support unit, a height regulating nut(162) coupled to the spiral member on the support unit to fix the spiral member at the required height on the support unit and to transfer the load added on the spiral member to the support unit, a connection member(170) installed on the spiral members to disperse the bearing load by the spiral member and to hold up the spiral members not to buckle and provided with holes(172) to insert the spiral members respectively and support nuts(174) to regulate the height of the connection member, and a lift height restricting nut(176) installed to each spiral member under the support unit to restrict the lift height of the spiral, thereby to regulate the lift height of the upper structure appropriately when lifting up the upper structure with a jack.
