摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded catalyst which is hardly obtained from a powdery catalyst up to now and has excellent mechanical strength and high activity and in which a utilization rate of a catalytically active component is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The powdery catalyst obtained by depositing a mixture or an alloy containing one or more elements selected from Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir, Ru, Ni, Co and Fe on zeolite is layered on a honeycomb support or a molded support having a spherical, granular, columnar, fragmented or ring-like shape. The thickness of a powdery catalyst layer layered on the surface of the honeycomb support or the molded support is preferably 5-200 &mu;m.
