<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform tile boundary distortion suppressing (detile) processing efficiently in wavelet coefficient space. <P>SOLUTION: In the decoding process of JPEG2000 encoded data, a detile processing section 111 corrects specific high-pass coefficients in the vicinity of tile boundary by a coefficient correction means 112 in order to suppresses tile boundary distortion produced under impact of mirroring when wavelet conversion is performed sequentially for the wavelet coefficients of each component from upper layer toward lower layer. A detile processing control means 114 controls the lowest layer undergoing detile processing (detile lowest layer) for each component, and controls the detile lowest layer in the horizontal direction and the detile lowest layer in the vertical direction separately for the color difference component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
