PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus or a method for separating tuber crops, which is able to solve problems in cost and maintenance by simple structure with keeping performance for separating daughter tuber crops. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a support means by ring-like receiving bed 2 receiving and holding the stem side of mother tuber crop W and a press means by reciprocal member 4 for inserting the tuber mother crop W by pressing it into the ring-like mounting bed 2. The reciprocal member 4 is provided with press portions 4p which carry out press operation by abutting on the root bottom of the mother tuber crop W at a plurality of positions.
