Disclosed is a liquid crystal composition containing a fluorine-containing compound (A) represented by the general formula (I) below and a bicyclohexyl compound (B) represented by the general formula (II) below. This liquid crystal composition has a low ?n and a wide liquid crystal temperature range, and is suitably used for applications such as reflective displays. (In the general formula (I), R<SUB>1</SUB> represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or the like; rings A<SUB>1</SUB> and A<SUB>2</SUB> respectively represent 1,4-phenylene, 1,4-cyclohexylene or the like; Z<SUB>1</SUB> represents a single bond, -COO-, -OCO-, -CF<SUB>2</SUB>O-, -OCF<SUB>2</SUB>- or the like; B represents a single bond or an alkylene group; Q represents a saturated or unsaturated alkyl group substituted by a fluorine atom and having 1-8 carbon atoms; and n represents a number of 1-3.
