POSITION DETECTOR OF SHAFT TYPE LINEAR MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically expand the use of a shaft type linear motor by achieving sharp cost reduction in the positioning control system of the shaft type linear motor, and to promote utilization in a field requiring compaction by facilitating integration of a position detector in the shaft type linear motor.

SOLUTION: In the position detector 4 of a shaft type linear motor 1 comprising a shaft 2 where a plurality of rodlike magnets are arranged in series, and a moving member 3 fitted slidably over the shaft 2 and driving the moving member 3 linearly by exciting a coil provided in the moving member 3, the moving member 3 is provided with a magnetic sensor S for detecting magnetic flux of the shaft 2 and estimating the position of the moving member 3 based on a detection signal from the magnetic sensor S.
