PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission controller or the like which extends the lifetime of a light emitting element.

SOLUTION: A luminance adjustment part 110 of an image processor 100A corrects an input image signal Gin on the basis of a luminance control signal CTL1 to generate an output image signal Gout. A target luminance generation part 130 generates target luminance La corresponding to a usage time Dt. A luminance detection part 140 outputs luminance of a light emitting device 10 as detected luminance Lb. A luminance degradation determination part 150 compares the target luminance La and the detected luminance Lb to determine a degree of degradation of an OLED element and generates the luminance control signal CTL1 so that the detected luminance Lb approximates to the target luminance La. The target luminance La is set so as to be reduced according as the usage time Dt is extended.
