<p>1529742 Cannula assembly STILLE-WERNER AB 23 Jan 1976 [24 Jan 1975] 02728/76 Heading A5R A cannula assembly comprises a catheter 14, and a housing 10 having an outlet 12, a first inlet 11 and a second inlet 16, there being in the second inlet an insert member 18A which has about its periphery at one end a resilient tube valve 24 covering lateral openings 23 in the insert member to provide a one-way valve. The valve 24 may alternatively be a duckbill, flap, poppet or umbrella valve. The assembly may be formed from hard plastics such as polytetrafluoroethylene, polyamide, polyester, polycarbonate, and polystyrene, or metal such as stainless steel or aluminium, with the valve tube being plastics or silicone rubber. The inlets may optionally be provided with Luer - lok (Registered Trade Mark) fittings.</p> |
