<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable judgment on whether or not printing-out more reflecting a user's intention is possible, and to achieve an image forming system high in image quality and superior in usability. <P>SOLUTION: An image compression method is constructed by compressing attribute data which shows attribute information of each pixel in the image forming system of a form in which page data with images and the attribute information compressed and encoded is stored in a limited memory. In this case, evaluation of an image degradation is carried out for the whole page after the page is compressed, and output controlled on the basis of the result of the image degradation evaluation and a printing mode set by the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
