PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistor capable of suppressing heat generation of a resistor body by enabling the heat to efficiently escape when the resistor body generates the heat when high power is applied. SOLUTION: The resistor is provided with the resistor body 11 made of a metal plate; a protective layer 13 for covering this resistor body 11; and a pair of electrode terminals 12 made of the same material as that of the resistor body 11 and integrally provided on both ends of the resistor body 11. In this resistor, an insulator 14 made of a material excellent in heat radiation performance is provided on at least the entire bottom surface of the resistor body 11 and one part of the bottom surfaces of the pair of electrode terminals 12, and one parts of the pair of electrode terminals 12 where the insulator 14 is not provided are bent toward the lower surface side of the insulator 14 and allowed to contact the bottom surface of the insulator 14.
