PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording disk cartridge which allows cost reduction by simplifying a locking mechanism structure. SOLUTION: The recording disk cartridge comprises a rotary shutter 20 to open/close an aperture for access of a cartridge case, and a locking mechanism to limit or permit turning of this rotary shutter 20. The locking mechanism comprises: a lock piece 70 of which the base end part is prepared integral with the rotary shutter 20 so that the tip part 71 is always energized to a side wall side of the cartridge case; a latching part 131h to limit the turning of the rotary shutter 20 by latching the tip part 71 of the lock piece 70; and a notch RC for the locking mechanism which is formed to be latched with a shutter lock operation member SR of a driving device D.
