PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be applicable to CAD drawing data at large, to automatically prepare estimation data from the CAD drawing data, and to be excellent in versatility and work efficiency. SOLUTION: By specifying one of line segments constituting a member defined as an estimation object from a CAD drawing displayed on a screen by clicking a mouse, the line information of the line segment is read from the CAD drawing data by a line information read means 5. A line segment extraction means 8 selects all the line segments that match with the read line information from the CAD drawing, and extracts the line segment that matches with a member definition pattern stored beforehand in a member pattern storage means 7 from them. A member numerical data generation means 11 generates the numerical data of respective members on the basis of the data of the extracted line segment. An estimation means 13 estimates the number of the respective members on the basis of the generated numerical data, and an estimation data output means 14 outputs the number.
