PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify chapters corresponding to a plurality of attributes, and clearly specify a chapter belonging to a designated attribute specifying a specific attribute for the classified chapter. SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem, for example, program data are recorded, chapter data corresponding to a plurality of attribute information are extracted from the recorded program data, a display area showing in which position the extracted program data of a plurality of the chapter data corresponding to a time in the recorded program data are displayed, desired attribute information is selected out of a plurality of attribute information, and chapter data corresponding to the selected attribute information are controlled to indicate in which position of time in the recorded program data when the display area is displayed.
