IMAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, IMAGE OUTPUT DEVICE, IMAGE DATA RETRIEVAL DEVICE AND IMAGE RETRIEVAL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval system capable of retrieving output image data from a database without the need of attribute information, and retrieving the image data by collating the image data with each other. SOLUTION: This image management system includes: an image output device 2 which outputs an image; and an image data retrieval device 3 which retrieves the output image data. The image output device 2 is provided with: an extraction means 74 for extracting an image (B) of a partial region of an input image (A); an encoding means 76 for encoding the data of the extracted image (B); and a print means 78 for printing the image (A) and the encoded data to the medium. The image data retrieval device 3 is provided with: a reading means 84 for reading the output data; a restoration means 86 for restoring the image (B) from the read data; and a retrieving means 88 for collating the image (B) with the acquired image (C) to retrieve the data of the image (C) including the image (B).
