PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forward/backward travel switching mechanism for requiring less structural elements. SOLUTION: The forward/backward travel switching mechanism comprises a pump impeller 104 connected to an input shaft 102, a turbine liner 108 connected directly to an output shaft 106, and a stator 110 connected to a brake mechanism BR. It also has a control means for controlling the brake mechanism BR. The control means controls the brake mechanism BR in addition to forward/backward travel so that the stator 110 slips, to establish a neutral condition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
