PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel leakage preventing valve remarkably improving sealing performance. SOLUTION: In this fuel leakage preventing valve in which a float valve 4 is arranged to be vertically moved in a chamber 2 defined in the inside of a housing 1 and the valve port 12 of the housing 1 communicated with the outside is opened/closed by the float valve 4, while the valve port 12 of the housing 1 is formed of elastic material, the float valve 4 is composed of an outer body 4A and an inner body 4B. An opening 14 corresponding to the valve port 12 is formed to the upper surface part of the outer body 4A, a valve plate 15 for opening/closing the valve port 12 is swingably arranged in the opening 14, and a lock claw 16 for preventing coming off of the valve plate 15 is arranged at the opening edge of the opening 14. A projection 17 for urging the swinging of the valve plate 15 is provided on the upper surface of the inner body 4B facing into the opening 14. Thereby, the swelling and deformation of the valve port 15 caused by fuel are suppressed, and reliability of operation is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
