PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress or prevent generation of noise accompanying release of compressed air from a vacuum pump 20 in a negative pressure generating device including the vacuum pump 20 releasing compressed air mixed in lubricating oil due to generation of negative pressure to an outside. SOLUTION: The negative pressure generating device includes a silencing means 30 suppressing or preventing generation of noise accompanying release of compressed air from a delivery port 23 of the vacuum pump 20. The silencing means 30 includes a gas liquid separating member 32 separating oil from compressed air released from the delivery port 23, and a silencing case 31 provided to cover the delivery port 23 and the gas liquid separating member 32. The silencing case 31 includes a first space 33 to which air to be separated is guided and which is provided with an air discharge opening 35, and a second space 34 to which oil to be separated is guided and which is provided with an oil discharge opening 36.
