PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, for example, an atmosphere shielding apparatus of a liquid receiving tank which prevents oxidation of an iron content or the like contained in the ground water by a recharge technique, and can make water treatment facilities unnecessary. SOLUTION: The apparatus for shielding a liquid in the liquid receiving tank 10 in an atmospheric opening type liquid receiving tank 10 comprises a shielding member 11, which is provided afloat on the liquid surface in the liquid receiving tank 10 to shield the contact between the liquid surface and the atmosphere, and a seal member 12 which is installed so as to block a gap between this shielding member 11 and the inner wall of the liquid receiving tank, and allows the shielding member 11 to be vertically moved according to the liquid level fluctuation of the liquid receiving tank 10, wherein this seal member 12 is made of many globular floating bodies 17 packed among the shielding member 11 and the inner wall of the liquid receiving tank.
